This is the second newsletter from
SWAYGO, a company formed to create and manufacture high
quality, ultra durable, refreshingly simple gear for
extraordinary needs. Our web site is
http://www.swaygogear.com. Through this newsletter, we plan to keep our customers
up-to-date on the latest SWAYGO news, along with current
product information and promise to keep it simple.
NEWS
-SWAYGO turns 1! That's right, we
debuted our first product (PUSH Pack) to cavers at OTR 2003.
Come by the IMO tent on Saturday at OTR 2004 and help us
celebrate. And most important, Thanks for your support!!! Stay
tuned, we're just getting started.
-PUSH Pack 2nds are SOLD OUT!
-SWAYGO donated a PUSH Pack to the NSS
to help them raise some money. The pack was given away at the
NSS Convention in Michigan. The winner was George Cesnik of
the Central Indiana Grotto. Congrats!
-Want to try a SWAYGO pack before you
buy? We have several demo packs available. Just come by one of
the caver events we are attending and borrow one. Use it,
bring it back and tell us what you thought. No obligation.
-Do you like stickers? SWAYGO now has
stickers! They're free! Pick one up at a caver event or send
us a SASE and we'll gladly return it with a sticker inside.
-Got any pictures of your SWAYGO pack
in action? We would love to see them. Email us your shots and
we'll put them on the web site. Check out other proud pack
owners pics here:

TIPS & TRICKS
Push Pack Owners: We have discovered a
potential problem with the large top grommets on some PUSH
Packs. The new, flat webbing becomes difficult to pull through
the grommet when it gets dirty and stiff. The solution is to
pull one side of the webbing through at a time versus both, or
just replace the 5/8" grommet with a 3/4" grommet. If you
choose the latter, well be happy to replace it, free of
charge, by sending us your pack or notifying us in advance via
email of a caving event so that we can arrange to replace it
at the event. If you are coming to OTR and would like your
grommet upgraded, or if you choose to send us your pack so
that we can upgrade the grommet for you, please let us know
via email at info@swaygogear.com < mailto:info@swaygogear.com>
.
INTERESTING
Somebody said that imitation is the
sincerest form of flattery. So, I guess we're flattered. A
simple Google search for "swaygo" led us to this Czech web
site:
http://tinyurl.com/5avjf.
We never found a good translation of the site, but from what
we can gather, some dude made a pack inspired by the PUSH
Pack. He used the upside-down feature as well as a rudimentary
Quick Strap. Interesting indeed, but pales in comparison to
the real thing. :-) If anyone comprehends Czech or knows of a
good translator, please let us know. We would love to know
what it really says.
As always, keep it simple and cave
safe.
