1. Why no handles?

We found that the pack has such a low profile that you rarely need to take it off. When you do, the Tuck & Roll closure provides a nice handle, as do the straps.

2. Is a SWAYGO Pack waterproof?

Yes. If the pack is loaded and closed properly, you'll never find water in this pack. We have been testing prototypes for over a year and a half and the packs have remained dry in waterfalls, stream crawls, float trips, etc..  While the SWAYGO pack concept and materials are waterproof, you should always place additional protection with your gear when using the pack.  As a example, if you have a nice digital camera...pad it and place it in a waterproof container anyway.  The pack is intended to keep water and mud out while CLOSED.  The more it is opened, the more likely one can introduce water and mud and the possibility of damaging the packs contents.

3. Does SWAYGO make a larger pack?

Yes, there are 3 different sized packs with the same design, the PUSH, the PIT and the SINK.

4. What's RF welding?

RF or Radio Frequency welding is a clean, strong way to bond two materials together using heat and pressure. In RF welding, a die is made of the areas to be bonded. Then, radio frequency waves are sent through two pieces of material that are held together with heavy pressure. These waves heat the material only where it contacts the die. The heated areas create an impermeable molecular bond. The molecules accelerate and realign to form a single piece of material. The resulting seam is impossible to pull apart and is many times stronger than the original material.

6. Are there other SWAYGO Pack colors?

We're working with the material manufacturer for some other color options for the pack.  However, to distinguish the different packs there are different Quick Strap and carabiner colors for each.  The PUSH is yellow, the PIT is blue, and the SINK is red.

7. What is "Cave-worthy?"

This is a term you’ll see throughout our literature and website. We use it to describe something that performs the way it should under the extreme conditions found in caves.

8. Will the grommet or holes pull out?

We are confident in the quality of our materials and construction. We also know that cavers can destroy anything. Our testing has proven the grommets and holes to hold up to just about anything we can dish out. But just in case, all SWAYGO products carry a Lifetime Warranty. If you have a concern, let us know and we’ll make it right.

9. How do I clean a SWAYGO Pack?

The easiest way to clean a pack is to spray it with a garden hose. Or wipe it with a wet rag if you really want it clean. Do not machine wash or dry SWAYGO packs. Air-dry or wipe inside and out. However, leaving it dirty will not hurt the material.

Here's a pic to show how you can buckle the pack open to let it dry after washing:
