SWAYGO is a partnership between 2 cavers, Scott McCrea and Kevin Quick.

Formed on September 1st, 2001 in Asheville, North Carolina, SWAYGO will create and manufacture high quality, ultra durable, refreshingly simple caving gear.  With over 20 years of caving experience, we have discovered that the available gear on the market today is lacking in some way or another.  Years of tinkering with existing products and the adoption of the latest manufacturing practices and material has garnered what we feel are some great caving products.  Eventually, we plan to create gear for other outdoor interests, but will keep our approach simple for now and just focus on caving.

We believe in keeping things simple.  The more parts involved; seams, fasteners, openings, gadgets, or bells and whistles on your gear, the more likely you'll have to open your repair kit...one of our goals will be to keep your repair kit new and unopened.

What does SWAYGO mean?  Kevin’s family has a farm in West Virginia that is close to a cave named Swago Cave. This multi-drop cave is one of our favorites, and we adapted the name and took it as our own —- a fitting tribute to a remarkable place.
